The WreckersThe Wreckers, consisting of Michelle Branch & Jessica Harp, are modern country with a pop twist, and a little rock & roll tossed in for that extra bite. Michelle and Jessica met when they were both struggling in the music business. Michelle broke with her 2001 solo release on Maverick, The Spirit Room. Still in her teens, she was swept onto major tours and recruited by legendary guitarist Carlos Santana for Grammy-winning duet, “Game of Love.” Her second release, Hotel Paper, hit number two on Billboard’s Hot 200.

Michelle invited Jessica to join her on the road after trading emails and indie records. Jessica impulsively said yes, and began singing back ups with Michelle on stage. The two began writing songs on the road, and before they knew it, they had enough material to write their first duo album. The result of these diverse efforts is an album that's edgy yet rootsy, which emphasizes the common strengths and complementary differences in Michelle's and Jessica's music.

Stand Still, Look Pretty, the debut album from The Wreckers featuring Michelle Branch & Jessica Harp hits stores on May 23. The album was produced primarily by Grammy-winning John Leventhal (Shawn Colvin, Rodney Crowell, Patty Larkin, Rosanne Cash), who also produced part of Michelle’s Hotel Paper. On several cuts other producers lent their distinctive hands including John Shanks (Sheryl Crow, Anastacia, Pink), who produced Michelle’s Everywhere and Spirit Room, and Paul Worley (Big & Rich, Martina McBride, Pam Tillis).
