's saintly image has been tarnished after British TV star Claire King claimed she had a secret affair with the anti-poverty campaigner - while he was married to his late ex-wife, Paula Yates.
The 43-year-old television favourite has detailed the romance in her new autobiography Confessions Of A Bad Girl, and claims she arranged sexual liaisons with the former Boomtown Rats frontman while Yates was expecting their first child Fifi Trixibelle.
King says, "There have been many people in my life, some famous, some not so famous. It's not my fault that Bob Geldof happens to be one of the most high-profile celebrities in the world.
