Thrifty actress Renee Zellweger is refusing to give up her Carolina Herrera wedding gown - she's had the dress turned into a cocktail outfit. Zellweger looked radiant in the pearl-colored gown when she wed country star Kenny Chesney in the Caribbean last year, and though the marriage didn't work out, she couldn't bring herself to give the dress away.

According to magazine In Touch, Zellweger had the gown dyed sapphire blue and shortened to an above-the-knee dress. A pal says, "Renee didn't want to throw it away. Since she knew she'd never wear it again as a wedding dress, she made it into something she'd get some use out of."
