Lynda Carter* Director Josh Whedon has hinted he will give original Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter a role in his movie version of the hit 1970s series. Whedon originally refused to consider Carter, 54, for a part in his project, but the mastermind appears to be changing his mind. Whedon says, "If it's right for the movie, it might happen."

* Barbra Streisand's husband James Brolin will fill the role played by the late Richard Crenna in the new Rambo film. The actor has signed on to play vigilante John Rambo's military aide Corporal Keating, according to website SlyCentral.com. Crenna played a similar role, Colonel Trautman, in the first three Rambo films. Sylvester Stallone will reprise his Rambo character in the movie.

* Orlando Bloom and Colin Firth are expected to star in a new TV adaptation of hard-hitting 1966 film Cathy Come Home. The new BBC version is to mark the 40th anniversary of the original Ken Loach movie, which pricked Britain's conscience regarding the issue of homelessness. A spokeswoman says, "It feels timely to look at poverty and inequality in Britain today."
