Christina AguileraPop star Christina Aguilera has reportedly spent $42,500 (£25,000) on a controversial painting portraying former British monarch Queen Victoria as a lesbian.

British graffiti artist Banksy's creation depicts the late royal dressed in stockings and a suspender belt, sitting on another woman's lap, and was purchased by the Dirrty singer during a recent visit to a London gallery.

A friend says, "She said she loved the print so much she was going to hang it in her LA living room. She's been a huge fan of Banksy for months and was desperate to get her hands on some of his artwork."

As Great Britain's longest reigning monarch, Queen Victoria ruled from 1837 until her death in 1901.
