Claudia SchifferGerman supermodel Claudia Schiffer is celebrating after winning significant damages from a legal battle with her former chef, who used her name to sell copies of her cookbook. Culinary whiz Sophie Michelle enraged the catwalk beauty by using a complimentary quote from the supermodel on the cover of recipe collection, "Irresistible."

Schiffer successfully claimed the endorsement was used without her consent and that it mislead customers because her name was printed directly beneath the author's. The comment read, "We love Sophie and everyone loves her cooking too."

As a result of the legal action, Michelle declared herself bankrupt at London's High Court earlier this month. The writer/chef's publishers Cassell Illustrated have compensated Schiffer with an undisclosed sum, and the book has been recalled.

Michelle worked for Schiffer and her filmmaker husband Michael Vaughn for two years.
