Sarah Jessica Parker Joins UNICEF, Will Travel to Liberia
Sarah Jessica Parker will realize a lifelong dream next month when she becomes children's charity UNICEF's latest celebrity ambassador. The actress is packing her bags and planning a trip to Liberia to meet refugees and aid workers. She says, "I'm going to Liberia, where they've elected their first female president. It's a place that gets little or no attention, so we're going to try and bring some attention to it."
Parker admits she dreamed of working with UNICEF when she was a child. She adds, "I grew up supporting UNICEF. I have been collecting money for them ever since I was a teeny, tiny child."
