Jane Fonda: 'I Would Like To Act More. I Need The Money'
Movie veteran Jane Fonda has hit back at criticism for starring in lightweight romantic comedy Monster-In-Law, insisting she just wanted to have fun. And the double Oscar winner, who hadn't acted in a movie since co-starring with Robert De Niro in 1990's Stanley And Iris, won't be deterred from similar projects because she needs the money for her charity commitments. She says, "I've been ridiculed for doing 'Monster-In-Law.' but I knew I would have a good time doing it. Everything I get sent is so dour, but I would like to act more. I need the money. I spend most of my time fundraising for my organizations and it's a lot easier if I just earn it myself and hand it over."
