The RiverRun International Film Festival is pleased to present its 2006 Master of Cinema Award to veteran actor Ned Beatty, who will attend in person to receive his award on Saturday, March 18.

Beatty, often considered one of the busiest actors in Hollywood, has had a long and storied career, with Academy Award, Emmy Award, Golden Globe Award and theatre award nominations over a career that has spanned more than 40 years.

In total, Beatty has appeared almost 150 films and TV shows, always winning plaudits for his well-crafted, realistic performances and his willingness to subsume himself completely into his roles. He's appeared in classic films such as Network, Deliverance, and All The President's Men.
