Starsky & Hutch stars David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser are in discussions to revive the hit 1970s police show. Soul, who is currently performing in the London West End musical “Mack and Mabel,” is convinced fans would love to see the cult partners on TV screens again.

He says, "Paul's my best friend and I think we've got the germ of a good idea. I want to bring the two characters back together again. It would be 30 years on and they're not cops anymore - just a pair of gumshoes who have gone their separate ways."

In the series, tough Starsky and educated Hutch were plainclothes cops taking on drug dealers, muggers and other criminals, aided by their red 1974 Torino and informant Huggy Bear. Both bachelors' private lives played interweaving threads in the drama.
