A new musical based on the life of legendary performer Sammy Davis Jr.
is set to debut on February 22 in Connecticut. Mr. Bojangles: The Ultimate Entertainer
will showcase Davis' many talents and has been endorsed by the late star's estate.
Davis' widow Altovise, who was married to the singer for 20 years, has been working with producers for three years to develop the show.
The show was inspired by Davis' trademark rendition of ballad Mr. Bojangles, and will also include an accompanying memorabilia exhibition.
Performers Ted L. Levy and Darrell Grand Moultrie will take turns portraying the Rat Pack
The show will debut in Uncasville at the Mohegan Sun Casino before embarking on a tour of major casinos across America.
