Mom-to-be Angelina Jolie has vowed to put maternal duties before her career when she gives birth to Brad Pitt's child later this year. The adoptive mother of two children - Cambodian son Maddox, four, and Ethiopian daughter Zahara, 10 months - confirmed she and Pitt are expecting a child earlier this month, and she plans to be the major influence in her newborn's life.

The Oscar-winner says, "I won't get a nanny to do all the hard work."

Last week Jolie's estranged father Jon Voight made an emotional appeal imploring his daughter to let him play an active role in the child's upbringing.
