Chris Tomlin's 'Arriving' Certified Gold

Chris TomlinArriving, the current studio album from Sparrow Records / sixstepsrecords artist-worshiper Chris Tomlin, has reached the RIAA Certified Gold sales mark signifying over 500,000 copies sold in the United States.

Released in September 2004, Arriving continues to be a Christian music mainstay, delivering the hits "Indescribable," "Holy Is The Lord," "The Way I Was Made," and new single "How Great Is Our God." In relation, Tomlin was recently named the most played artist at Christian adult contemporary radio in 2005 by music industry journal Radio & Records.

Arriving has also received several other significant industry honors, including the 2005 GMA Music Award for Praise & Worship Album of the Year, the Christian Retailing Retailers Choice Award for Best Album, and a Worship Leader magazine Praise Award for Best Praise & Worship Song ("How Great Is Our God").

The set was also ranked among the Best Inspirational Albums of 2005 at iTunes and is the first Gold release for sixstepsrecords.

Tomlin has toured with Steven Curtis Chapman and Casting Crowns since the release of Arriving and headlined the Indescribable Tour in fall 2005 which included seventeen sold-out shows. One of them was recorded to create the new concert album, Live From Austin Music Hall, in stores now.

This month, Tomlin resumes the Indescribable Tour which also features fellow Passion artist-worshiper Matt Redman and teaching from Giglio.
