Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards have refiled for divorce just months after insisting their rocky marriage was back on track. The former Bond girl and her actor husband first filed for divorce last March but tried to reconcile for the sake of their daughters, Sam and Lola.

Sheen's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, has now confirmed lawyers for the couple filed the papers on Wednesday in Los Angeles. He said: "They asked the court to go to a private arbitrator. They are determined to keep it private."

The pair's relationship broke down just months before the 34-year-old actress gave birth to their second child, Lola, in June. Before Wednesday's filing, the couple appeared to be on the road to reconciliation. In November, the 40-year-old actor flashed his wedding ring on CBS' 'Late Late Show,' telling host Craig Ferguson "things are really good".

But they reportedly had another spat last month during a romantic getaway at the Sandy Lane resort in Barbados. The pair were said to have spent much of the time avoiding one another before leaving two days early according to reports. Richards and Sheen met while shooting the independent film Good Advice in 2000 and appeared in Scary Movie 3 together.
