George ClooneyLiberal actor George Clooney has hit out at the Democrat administration, including former first lady Hillary Clinton, for their reluctance to criticize President George w. Bush's decision to go to war with Iraq. The star, who has spoken out against Bush in the past, slammed the rival party as well for being too "scared" to provide effective opposition.

He told British newspaper the Sunday Times he was "frustrated and disappointed" with their attitude, adding, "now they are paying the price."

He continued, "I hate it when smart men and women are saying, 'Well, if I knew then what I know now.' The fact is: I knew it then and I don't have national security clearance. Basically, the Democrat leadership was scared (of criticizing Bush) and it's too bad, because it has come back to haunt them."
