Jet Li Wants To Be Taken Seriously As An Actor

Chinese superstar Jet Li is retiring from Kung Fu films because he wants to be recognized as an actor, rather than a marital arts expert. The Hero star, 42, told students at China's prestigious Fudan University he is keen to make more philosophical movies and would welcome another collaboration with French director Luc Besson.
And he promises his latest movie "Fearless" will be his final foray into the genre: "I've said more than once this will be my last martial arts film." Li has over 20 movies in the pipeline but insists he will "shoot whichever comes into fruition first."
Li's list of martial arts flicks include Unleashed, Crade 2 the Grave, Kiss of the Dragon, The One, Romeo Must Die, and Black Mask.
