Young Buck Escapes Trial for Vibe Stabbing
The G-Unit star, real name David Darnell Brown, was accused of assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly stabbing Jimmy James Johnson following an attack on rap mogul Dr. Dre
But, a week before he was due in court to answer charges, the rapper has "favourably resolved" the matter, according to his attorney Scott Leemon.
Young Buck will still attend court in Los Angeles on December 12, but now it will be solely for a hearing. The details of his deal with prosecutors are not known.
The 24-year-old has been out on bail since his arrest last year. Johnson pleaded guilty to assaulting Dr Dre in September and was sentenced to one year in jail and three years of probation and was ordered to stay away from Dre for three years.
But Buck isn't completely out of trouble - he's due in a New York courtroom next month (Jan. 26, 2006) to face another weapons possession charge, stemming from an arrest this summer (Aug. 05), in which police pulled over a van carrying Buck and his entourage and found two guns in the vehicle.
