The Game Show Network (GSN) will be airing a week-long “Match Game” tribute to actor Pat Morita, who passed away Thursday at the age of 73. Morita was best known for his Academy Award-nominated role as Mr. Miyagi in the Karate Kid movies and for his role as restaurant owner Arnold on the hit television series Happy Days.
Beginning Monday, Dec. 5 through Friday, Dec. 9 from 3:30-4:00 PM, GSN will air some classic episodes of Morita as a panelist on the Gene Rayburn-hosted show, “Match Game.” The network will air one of the five original 1976 “Match Games” each day of the week.
In addition to his film career and game show appearances on "Match Game," Morita was a special guest on more than 70 television series including Hawaii Five O, M*A*S*H, Sanford and Son and Baywatch. He also served as a voice talent on the Disney animated movies Mulan and Mulan II.
