Gwyneth Paltrow has launched a blistering attack on Britain, saying it's "cold and depressing". The US-born beauty, who lives in London with her husband Coldplay star Chris Martin, unleashed a string of pet hates about London life in an interview with Marie Claire magazine.
The blonde actress admitted she has grown to like Britain but said she found it cold and depressing for years. She added, "My husband thinks I'm way too obsessed with cleanliness and germs. I'm just like, 'The street is filthy, could we take off our shoes before we come into the house?' He used to imitate me and say 'Ewww, oh my God!'"
Gwyneth also criticized British customer service, saying it drives her "nuts". She ranted, "Also the customer service is just rubbish in England. People are much more relaxed there, and things take forever to get done. They'll tell you it'll take two weeks for your internet service to be fixed! It drives me nuts. And I miss being able to get anything at any time of day. You can't do that there."
The 33-year-old also advised readers to pack warm clothes if they visit Britain, saying, "Bring a raincoat, definitely! Or at least a little umbrella you can fit in your bag, because it always does rain."
