While everyone in most of the northern half of the United States has been bundling up thanks to a frigid "polar vortex" of Arctic air this week, True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard is embracing the cold.
The star, who made a trek to the South Pole with the likes of Prince Harry and Dominic West in Mid-December, was photographed during the trip sitting naked on an outdoor toilet while reading a book, pants around his ankles and with no shirt.
It was -30C (-22F) when the shot was taken.
The photo was taken by Inge Solheim, an accomplished polar guide who was his team leader for the trip to Antarctica for the Walking With The Wounded charity mission.
The charity raised money for servicemen and women who have been injured during active duty, and several made the trek also.
"#southpole -30C What are you reading Alex? The script for season 7 of #truebloodHBO ?" Solheim captioned the photo.
The actor took it all off in the snow during the "True Blood" season six finale back in August, when he lounged naked in a chair on a snow-covered Swedish mountaintop. We assume all that snow was fake.
