Katy Perry has a new album coming out in less than a week, and on Wednesday she shared some more big news: she's joined cosmetics giant CoverGirl as their latest spokeswoman.
The "Roar" singer posted the news to her twitter page with her first image for the company, writing, "EAUTIFUL news to share w/you all. Today is my 1st day as a @COVERGIRL! See what happens when you let the light in??? #COVERGIRLKATY."
Katy joins singers P!nk and Taylor Swift as the current faces of the brand, which has seen the likes of Sofia Vergara, Queen Latifah, Ellen DeGeneres and Christie Brinkley serving as ambassadors for the brand in the past.
"In addition to music, I've always considered makeup to be a powerful creative avenue of self-expression," Katy said in a statement. "I'm honored to partner with COVERGIRL and share more colors and textures of my approach to beauty to inspire my audience."
Katy's new album, "Prism", is set for an October 22 release.
