2012 Must See Performance: Tony Bennett (Concert Review)
One of the most iconic men in music put on one of the most intimate and endearing shows we've ever been to. At 85 years old, we witnessed Tony Bennett shut the house down during his headlining tour, receiving over five standing ovations throughout an hour performance. The timeless vocalist showcased his talent with quite the range, proving he is the true definition of an artist. Bennett captured his charisma with smiles and dance moves while on stage and had every women in the room drooling. Looks like Bieber's getting a run for his money. Tony dedicated one of his oldest songs to someone he's 'gaga' over, stating, "I dedicate this song to a good friend of mine, Lady Gaga. She's going to be around for a long time."
As a night-cap, Tony showcased what seems to be his favorite lately: a live duet. He shared the stage with his daughter, Universal recording artist Antonia Bennett, and for one final moment, brought the entire audience to their feet.
Overall concert grade: A+
