'Golden Globes' Picks: 'Two Jews On Film' Almost Agree On Theirs (Video)
It's that time of year...Hollywood's super fun award show, The Golden Globes...where anything can happen. Just look at one of this year's picks from The Hollywood Foreign Press...'The Tourist' for best comedy. You've got to be kidding. The only reason that film was nominated was to get Johnny Depp and Miss Jolie to the show.
That said...there are a lot of wonderful films nominated this year. Darren Aronofsky's dark and brilliant tale of an obsessed ballerina, 'The Black Swan' has Natalie Portman, Barbara Hershey, and Mila Kunis doing some of their best work.
Then there was David Fincher's film about the Harvard dude who changed our world forever. Jesse Eisenberg nailed his portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg.
Tom Hooper's directed the excellent, heartfelt historical drama, 'The King's Speech' where Colin Firth and Geoffey Rush blew the house down with their performances.
'The Fighter' the inspiration film about never giving up your dreams, directed by David O. Russell's, had great performances from the whole cast but Christian Bale and Melissa Leo in my opinion stole the film.
And of course Christopher Nolan's original and awesome film, 'Inception' had us talking about it for months....All these films, along with 'Winter's Bone', 'The Kids Are Alright', 'Barney's Version', 'True Grit', 'Tangled', 'Toy Story 3', 'Blue Valentine' proved 2010 was a great year for movies. The 'Two Jews On Film' don't often agree, but this time we came pretty close. The Golden Globes airs on this Sunday, January 16, 2011.
