'All Good Things' is an extraordinary story about love, obsession, family, madness and murder set against the backdrop of a New York real estate dynasty...the Durst family...in the 1980's.  The film, directed by Andrew Jarecki (Capturing the Friedmans) is inspired by the true story of the son, Robert Durst, who was suspected of but never tried for the murder of his wife Kathie who disappeared  in 1982 and was never found.  This is the most notorious missing person's  case in New York history.  Ryan Gosling brilliantly portrays David Marks (Robert Durst) peeling away the layers of his character slowly and intelligently. He has never been better and will surely get an Oscar nod.  The film starts out as a love story.  David meets Katie, the wonderful Kristin Dunst.  They fall in love, move to Vermont, open a health food store and name it All Good Things.  Soon they get married and life couldn't be better for the couple...until David's father, (powerfully played by Frank Langella) comes back into his life.  David is  thrust back into his father's world of money, power and corruption.  It's here that David starts to unravel.  Even Katie's love and devotion can't  keep David's demons at bay.  'All Good Things' is a dark and twisted tale that delves into the heart and mind of a man who was suspected of being involved in three deaths over the course of thirty years. This is one film that you'll be thinking about long after you've left the theater. Opens in Friday December 10, 2010.
