'Frankie And Alice' directed by Geoffrey Sax is the harrowing, true story of Frankie Murdoch (Halle Berry) a stripper who finds herself suffering from black outs and violent episodes.  The film is set in Los Angeles in the 1970's.  When one of Frankie's violent episodes, leads to her arrest, she checks herself into a psychiatric hospital.  It's there that she meets research psychiatrist, Dr. Oz (Stellan Skarsgard) This odd man  listens to jazz records and experiments with LSD...all in the name of science. Dr. Oz works hard to forge a bond with Frankie. Unfortunately things don't go smoothly.  It seems one of Frankie's personalities is Alice, a white racist with a very high I.Q. Alice despises Frankie and wants to destroy her.  'Frankie And Alice' is an exciting, intense journey into a person's fractured mind. What traumatic event in Frankie's past caused her to disassociate?  That's what Dr. Oz has to discover in oder to make Frankie whole.   Phylicia Rashad plays Frankie's mother...a woman that thinks she's doing the right thing in keeping Frankie from the truth and Chandra Wilson as her neglected sister.  Halle Berry does a stellar job in nailing all of Frankie's personalities including a little girl who tries so hard to protect her. The 'Two Jews On Film' have completely different opinions about this one.   Love to know what you think.  'Frankie and Alice' opens in Los Angeles Friday, December 10, 2010 and in New York, Friday, December 17, 2010.
