The numbers are dropping fast as only eight singers remain on “The Voice”.  But before any of the competitors take the stage 50 Cent and Adam Levine give a world premiere performance of “My Life”.

Amanda Brown got the competition started with her version of Adele’s “Someone Life You” that the coaches said Amanda did a great job and made the song her own.

Cody Belew took on British rock legends Queen with his take on “Somebody to Love”.  The coaches thought it was a great song choice and Cody did a great job.

Cassadee Pope, Melanie Martinez, Dez Duron, and Terry McDermott performed together.

Terry McDermott performed a song recorded by his coach Blake Shelton – “Over”.  Blake said that Terry performed the song the way he wished he could perform it; the other coaches agreed that Terry gave a sold performance.

Melanie Martinez donned her guitar for a performance of “Too Close” that the coaches called cool, a great arrangement, and one of her best performances.

Christina’s only remaining team member Dez Duron performed the Justin Bieber song “U Smile”.  The coaches loved the groove and said Dez killed it; but didn’t feel it was Dez’ best performance.

Trevin Hunte performed the George Benson song “Greatest Love of All” in a performance that had Trevin sound very much like George Benson himself.  Adam hoped that heaven sounded very much like what he heard from Trevin, Blake called him an amazing singer, and coach Cee Lo called it a wonderful performance; adding that Trevin was well endowed with talent.

Backstage Terry got a big surprise when his wife and son appeared as Terry was wishing her a Happy Birthday on the air.

Trevin Hunte, Nicholas David, Amanda Brown, and Cody Belew gave a group performance.

Father of two Nicholas David, soon to be three, was surprised by a visit from “Lean on Me” writer Bill Withers during rehearsals.  This week he performed the Marvin Gaye hit “What’s Going On”.  Blake thanked Nicholas for letting “The Voice” introduce him to the world and Cee Lo asked fans to vote for Nicholas because they needed him.

Last week’s chart topping singer Cassadee Pope finished out the show with a performance of “Are You Happy Now” by Michelle Branch.  Adam called her the front runner, Blale called the performance unbelievable, and Cee Lo answered the question saying no because Cassadee could win.

On the results show the Muppets make a visit to the show and two more singers will go home.
