This week on “Dancing with the Stars” the seven remaining couples had to perform two complete dances, one of which was a salute to Veteran’s Day and the other a trio dance.  With no eliminations last week the scores and votes will be added to this week and two couples will be eliminated one week before the semi finals.

First to take the dance floor was Shawn and a returning Derek with a Viennese Waltz that the judges called quiet, something magical, and harmonious.  Shawn and Derek scored 29.5 points for their dance.

Apolo and Karina performed a Tango that began with Apolo using a zip line from the skybox to the dance floor.  After a standing ovation for the performance, Bruno compared Apolo to Tom Cruise in “Mission Impossible”, Carrie Ann wanted to be Karina, and Len called Apolo a hero.  Apolo and Karina earned 29.5 points for their Tango.

Kristie and Maks performed a Viennese Waltz to their favorite song – “Hallelujah” – that the judges said was a beautiful interpretation, elegant, and well done.  Kristie and Maks scored 27 points for their dance.

Kelly and Valentin performed a Viennese Waltz that the judges said flowed nicely, was filled with soul, and what DWTS was all about.  Kelly and Valentin scored 28 points for their dance.

Giles and Peta performed a Quickstep that had the crowd on their feet cheering.  Bruno compared Giles to an SST and Len called Giles a Top Gun. Giles and Peta scored 29.5 points for their Quickstep.

Emmitt and Cheryl performed a Viennese Waltz that the judges called smooth, charismatic, balanced, and classy.  Len said that Emmitt put the "oo" in smooth.  Emmitt and Cheryl scored 28 points for their Viennese Waltz.

Melissa and Tony performed a Quickstep to “Boogie Woogie Bubble Boy” that earned them a standing ovation, had Bruno wanting to join the Navy and comparing them to Gene Kelly in “On the Town”.  Melissa and Tony scored a perfect 30 for their dance.

In the trio dance Mark joined Shawn and Derek for a tribal inspired Samba that brought mixed reviews from the judges.  While it earned a standing ovation from the crowd, Bruno and Len said it had few Samba moves and earned only a seven from Len.  The trio scored only 26 points for their dance.

Apolo and Karina enlisted the help of DTWS Troupe member Sasha for their Jive.  Apolo was the only celebrity to choose a trio partner of the same gender.  The judges called the performance to “Greased Lightning” brilliant, sharp, tight, and what you wanted in a Jive.  Apolo, Karina, and Sasha scored 29 points for their Jive.

Tristan MacManus joined Kristie and Maks for an angelic Paso Doble that the judges noted was a creative choice but was a little sloppy and lacked finesse.  The trio scored 24 points for their dance.

Louis Van Amstel joined Kelly and Valentin for a Jive with Kelly giving Len a kiss at the end.  The judges called the performance flamboyant, fantastic, and fun.   The trio scored 28.5 points for their Jive.

Chelsie Hightower joined Giles and Peta for a Salsa that while the judges loved how Giles took over the dance floor, felt that there were a few missed steps in the dance.  The trio scored 29 points for their Salsa.

Kym Johnson joined Emmit and Cheryl for a Salsa that the judges called red hot spicy, smooth, and had musicality.  The trio scored a perfect 30 for their Salsa.

The final performance of the night was from Melissa, Tony, and DWTS Troupe member Henry for a Paso Doble with Melissa playing a dominatrix.  The judges called the dance seamless, jaw dropping, and impressive with astonishing moves.  Melissa and Tony scored their second perfect score of the night.

On Tuesday’s results show Kylie Minogue, Ne-Yo sing and the cast of “Newsies” perform; and a new surprise challenge awaits the dancers.
