Adam Sandler's 'Just Go With It' Beats Justin Bieber's 'Never Say Never'
Adam Sandler's new movie, Just Go With It, took top box-office honors over Justin Bieber's new flick, Never Say Never. Could Sandler be the cure to Bieber fever?
Justin Bieber doesn't need to take home a Grammy or win the box-office showdown to prove he's in the game. That's a good thing because both fell short for the music sensation this weekend.
In an opening weekend fight to the finish, the Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston movie Just Go With It beat out Bieber's 3D hot-ticket Never Say Never at the box office. According to figures from Box Office Mojo, it wasn't a massacre. Just Go With It brought in an estimated $31 million compared to Never Say Never's respectable $30.3 million.
The completely adorable tale of Gnomeo and Juliet opened to a nice bank of $25.5 million while Channing Tatum's The Eagle didn't quite measure up, coming in fourth with $8.6 million. The reviews were not very flattering from the start on this one. The Roommate, otherwise known as Single White Female, rounded out the top five with $8.4 million.
Sanctum sat at number eight with $5.1 million. True Grit and The Green Hornet rounded out the top ten, bringing in a close $3.7 million and $3.6 million.
Did you see Justin Bieber's new flick Never Say Never or did you stick with funnyman Adam Sandler's movie Just Go With It? Perhaps you saw both. Tell us, we want to know.
