7 Scary Music VideosScary movies aren't the only source to get your spooks and thrills this Halloween season. For years, music videos have defied the odds by presenting movie like depictions to help bring out the pizzazz of a song. Going beyond the four corners of a recording studio and even the backdrop of a green screen, music videos have become more than just an option for artist to market their music, it is now a necessity. In honor of Halloween, here are 7 videos that are sure to raise the hairs on your necks and cause goose bumps to appear.

"Distrubia" by Rihanna

Everything that is weird and unusual appears in this video for Rihanna's single "Distrubia", and somehow Rihanna makes it all look so good. With vivid scenes of the singer chained to a chair, missing pupils, and seducing a mannequin among other things, this video not only has a nice scare to it but it also helped quench the thirst of her fans who had gotten tired of all of the re-releases of Good Girl Gone Bad. Those with arachnophobia beware.

"Wall to Wall" by Chris Brown

Chris Brown has said on many occasions that Michael Jackson inspired him to become the artist that he is today, a sentiment that showed in his video for his song "Wall to Wall." Before vampires were seen as the ultimate "it" thing, Chris Brown made it look cool in a Pop kind of way. This video may not be as scary as the rest on this list, but you can't deny that the crawling and dancing on the walls isn't worth saying wow to.

"Bark at the Moon" by Ozzy Osbourne

Before Ozzy was the mumbling papa on MTV's hit reality show "Meet the Osbournes", Ozzy was a dark rocker with a chest full of songs that made nuns reach for their rosary beads. One of those songs with a scary video to boost was "Bark at the Moon." In the video Ozzy plays a mad scientist gone nuts. Quick flashes of a pale man dressed in all black, a werewolf, and a decayed Ozzy all makes for an interesting 4 minutes and 18 seconds.

"Thriller" by Michael Jackson

The music video for Michael Jackson's "Thriller" was the first of its kind. Standing as one of the first video's to go over the 4 minute mark; Michael revolutionized the way music videos were made with the video's theatrical presentation. This video was so big it gave rise to its own special on how the video was concocted. Equipped with zombies, grave sites, and a possessed Michael, the video for Thriller successfully caused nightmares all across the world and cemented Michael as one of the greatest entertainers of our time.

"Going Under" Evanescence

Evanescence's video for "Going Under" seems like a simple video at first with the groups lead singer sitting down for a quick touch up before taking to the stage; but then when the camera gets a shot of her make-up artists' eyes, it becomes quite clear that this is not your ordinary dressing room. With scenes of the paparazzi and screaming fans taking on the faces of demented demons, the video for "Going Under" shows you faces that not even a mother could love.

"Get Ur Freak On" by Missy Elliot

Rapper/singer Missy Elliot has always been known to push the boundaries when it comes to her songs and more so her videos; a characteristic that shows in her music video for "Get Ur Freak On." With weird people hanging upside down in trees along with her discombobulated neck, not to mention a play-by-play of her saliva flying clear across the room landing into someone's mouth, the video for "Get Ur Freak On" is truly unique and compliments Missy's quirky but infectious musical style.

"Sweet Dreams" by Marilyn Manson

Marilyn Manson is by far one of the most bizarre rockers, ever. In this video for his song "Sweet Dreams", Marilyn is seen dressed in a dirty wedding dress, a tutu, and hiding in what seems to be a cave. With brief scenes of him riding on a pig and portraying medusa, it is safe to conclude that Halloween is an everyday holiday for Marilyn.
