Whitney HoustonWeekly Music News: We are well into October and still the VMA drama continues with the release of a video showing Beyonce grabbing Lil Mama's hand to keep her from crashing hubby Jay-Z's performance, what a doll. Whitney's UK tour, Miley's goodbye to Twitter and Diddy's new role as Hip-Hop's Pinocchio round's out this week's music news.

Whitney Houston to embark on UK tour

With a new album under her belt, the woman known as "the voice" is set to embark on a UK tour according to The Sun. If reports are true, this will be Whitney Houston's first tour in almost a decade as her last tour was in 1999. Whitney is scheduled to play five arena dates kicking off at Manchester's MEN arena on April 8th. She will also play Glasgow, Birmingham, New Castle and London's O2 arena on April 25th. Only time will tell if this tour will be a hit. Knowing Whitney's fans, they will be content just with her showing up.

Miley Cyrus quits Twitter then raps about it

The Twitter community was up in arms following the news that Disney Queen Miley Cyrus canceled her account. Fans went as far as making their plea for her comeback a trending topic. Coincidentally enough, Twitter ended up freezing for a couple of hours during this time. To explain why she decided to kick Twitter to the side like a bad habit, Miley grabbed her video camera and recorded an ode to her defunct Twitter account. Her reason for canceling was because she felt that the media was taking her "innocent" tweets and turning them into news; she wanted her privacy back. Yeah, privacy and Twitter does not go hand and hand then again nor does any other social networking site or being a colossal star for that matter.

Soulja Boy gets arrested

Speaking of Twitter and privacy, Soulja Boy was reportedly arrested in Georgia last Wednesday after running from police officers. The 19-year old rapper was recording a music video in the backyard of an abandoned house when neighbors contacted the authorities to complain about the noise. When the officers arrived to find out what the commotion was all about, the attendees of said music video shoot decided to reenact what they saw in movies and run from the scene, including Soulja Boy. Of course, he had to return to pick up his Range Rover he had parked outside of the same house he ran from and when he did he was arrested for obstruction of justice, a misdemeanor. Soulja Boy has already begun using the event to promote the new video by tweeting, "Releasing the music video for 'Gangsta Muzik' later on tonight. This is the video shoot I got arrested at. Stay tuned." He might want to take a page out of Miley's Twitter manual.

Shyne says Diddy has a vast imagination

Sean "Diddy" Combs is not as honest as he looks. The music mogul recently visited New York radio station Hot 97 and spoke about his former Bad Boy artist Shyne's impending release from prison. Shyne for the past 8 years has been serving time for his involvement in a 2001 club shooting at the now closed Club New York, which left club goers injured. Diddy and then girlfriend Jennifer Lopez were also involved, but the two managed to get off with no jail time and yes this can be compared to a soap opera on ABC. In said interview with Hot 97, Diddy said that he had spoken to Shyne and that the rapper was in "good spirits." Shyne on the other hand denies the phone call Diddy insists he made, stating that the conversation was "a figment of Sean Combs' imagination." In a statement to Rolling Stone Shyne says, "I want it known that this supposed conversation is a figment of Sean Combs' imagination. He never spoke with me, he never visited me nor would I ever accept a phone call or visit from him. The only way I would do either of those things would be if he stepped up and did the right thing for the victims of the incident." That was a respectful pie in the face. If all fails, Diddy can always blame it on the Ciroc.
