RumorFix has learned exclusively that former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes is checking into rehab at an undisclosed Southern California center.

Our sources tell us that the 26-year-old, who has been charged with DUI and two counts of hit-and-run, will be checking in either Tuesday night or Wednesday. She has committed to doing a 30 day in-patient program.

The What I Like About You star has been under the microscope lately because of her driving — just Sunday, she was stopped for driving with a suspended license and her car was impounded. A RumorFix source saw her later that day going to the gym in using a car service.

Amanda is scheduled to appear in court on September 27 on the hit-and-run charges, but she may still be in rehab.

Our sources say getting treatment could help her escape jail time and possibly be sentenced to probation.

Calls to Amanda’s rep and attorney have not been answered because of the Jewish holiday, Rosh Hashanah.
