Brandy Gets Emotional Over Tribute To Whitney Houston
Brandy, who has several emotional ties to Whitney Houston, made her first public appearance Friday since the pop legend died and RumorFix has video.
The 33-year-old performer tweeted, “Excited and Nervous as usual.. Lol.. Come see your girl sing a few songs:)”
The “You’re A Fine ” singer, who co-starred with Whitney and Rodgers & Hammerstein´s Cinderella back in 1997, told the crowd at The Factory in LA, “I want to thank you guys for having me back. I heard there was a rumor that i was doing a Whitney Houston tribute tonight – unfortunately that’s not true, because i would be an emotional wreck right now. I’m just not ready to sing any of her songs. you guys know what that’s like.”
Brandy attended Whitney’s funeral with her younger brother, Ray J, who was known to be Whitney’s last boyfriend.
