George Clooney isn't amused by reports from the foreign press that suggests he's already moved on from his relationship with Elisabetta Canalis, and plans on debuting his "new girl" at the upcoming Venice Film Festival.

Mr. Clooney denied the rumors in a statement released to RumorFix this morning:

"The Italian press, from Corriere Della Sera to TGCOM, Ansa, NewNotizie, Sky.it and even Vanity Fair are all running a story that quotes me as saying that I'm bringing a 'new girl' to the Venice film festival.

I never made that statement and it's not true. It was made up to sell tabloid magazines. It's a ridiculous lie and should be corrected as publicly as it was originally written."

Clooney and Canalis split last month after dating for two years, and judging from this statement, it doesn't seem like the silver fox is in a hurry to move on.
