Ten Comic Book Characters You've Probably Never Heard Of

Ten Comic Book Characters You've Probably Never Heard Of
Comic book culture tends to be hard for average Joes to just break into. When one takes into consideration how many different retconned storylines interweave with the established lore and background of every hero and villain, it's no wonder that becoming a true comic book aficionado is an investment, rather than simply a reward. The fan devotion to certain brands forms an barrier that can be a little intimidating, and even off-putting, to those of us unfamiliar with that particular subculture.

To be an avid fan, comic book lovers are sometimes necessitated to remember a huge library of pas...

You Touch My Tra La La : Gunther Is Back, With 'I'm Not Justin Bieber B**ch'

You Touch My Tra La La : Gunther Is Back, With 'I'm Not Justin B
Some of you may remember 'The Ding Dong Song' that took Youtube by storm ten who years ago. It was jam packed with more sexual innuendos and half naked women than an HBO original series. It was done by the enigmatic and mysterious 'Gunther' - who became well known for his pencil mustache, mullet, duckface and sunglasses. If you don't remember, here's the video to refresh your memory.

There's something almost endearing about the whole music video. It's such a laughable parody of itself. Between Gunther and his eye-candy partners 'The Sunshine Girls' there's not really a single part of th...

Alternative Music Spotlight : The Temper Trap

Alternative Music Spotlight : The Temper Trap
Radio listeners will remember a couple years back when the incredibly infectious song "Fader" graced the airwaves constantly. That was the doing of a little Australian band known as 'The Temper Trap.' To this day, "Fader" is one of my favorite songs to listen to to pick my mood up.

But the Temper Trap remains busy. After releasing two very successful albums, 'Conditions' and 'The Temper Trap' the band is on their way to releasing a third studio album, set to release sometime in 2014.

Their musical sound isn't particularly unique - but they have a great vocal style, thanks to lead singer...

Expatriate Movie Star Gerard Depardieu Releasing 'Eco Friendly'
French actor and expat Gerard Depardieu seems to be adapting to his new home, Russia, by forcing some roots into the frozen ground.

Depardieu, famous for movies such as 'Green Card' and 'Cyrano de Bergerac' has infamously said au revior to his homeland of France after he refused to pay taxes to the government, which he said was trying to "punish his success." This was following a history of family tragedy, substance abuse and legal troubles.

Gerard has since hopped the fence, staying shortly in Belgium, which was presumably too 'French' for his liking, and eventually ending up as a Russi...

SMOSH & The Guys Of 'Good Mythical Morning' Star In Newest Epic
That's right - it's time for a new ERB. The season finale stars a number of guests from other popular Youtube channel - Anthony and Ian of SMOSH, and Rhett and Link from Good Mythical Morning. The new fellows do justice to the season finale - an ERB the scope of which history has never seen.

This time, its a 4v4 with the artists and masterminds of the Italian Renaissance on one side, and their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle counterparts on the other side. Donatello, Raphael, Michaelangelo and Leonardo (squared) go toe to toe (minus two toes for TMNT) to face off and decide who are more dese...

Music Friday : Ten Songs To Cruise Home To
We all drive a little differently. Some of us have a lead foot - we want to get to where we need to be quickly, while others prefer to feather the gas and take their time. Different driving habits often times coincide with listening habits. Whether what you're listening to is the cause of the actual effect of your driving, is an article for another time.

But we do love music. And what's a car ride without some audio to drive to. So this week we're offering up a bunch of really great songs to drive to. We think that most of these will appeal to a wide variety of drivers, though some may ap...

George R.R. Martin Flips The Bird To Those Who Doubt He'll Finish 'Game Of Thrones' Book Series

George R.R. Martin Flips The Bird To Those Who Doubt He'll Finis
It's generally common courtesy to not speculate how someone is going to die - especially when that person is... you know, a real, living, actual person. And double-especially when that person is George R.R. Martin - the acclaimed author behind the incredibly popular 'A Song of Ice and Fire' book series, and the mastermind of HBO's 'A Game of Thrones.'

Now, granted, we've all theorized about how our favorite or most hated characters will die on Game of Thrones. "Who's going to bite the dust next?" is the thought that's on everyone's minds as they are reading the books or watching the show. ...

Alternative Music Spotlight : American Authors

Alternative Music Spotlight : American Authors
Some of you may be familiar with 'American Authors' from their infectious song 'Best Day of My Life.' You can hear them slowly starting to trickle onto popular stations on the radio. They fall firmly in the same vein as Imagine Dragons, Smallpools and the Vamps.

Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, the American Authors have a musical style that can only be described as indomitable, positive and incredibly optimistic. Almost every song they produce is not only upbeat, but has a fantastically happy dose of content at its' heart.

From songs like "Luck" to "Believer" the American Authors sing ...

Ethan Hawke And Patricia Arquette Watch Their Youth Wither Away
Boyhood is an ambitious film 12 years in the making - that's right, 12 years, and you might have only just heard of it.

Boyhood made its' Sundance debut in January of this year. The film stars Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette as two parents raising raising their young son from childhood into adolescence, hence the umbrella-like title of "Boyhood." Alternative Music Spotlight : MAGIC!

Alternative Music Spotlight : MAGIC!
Like catchy pop-rock? Like reggae? You'll love Canadian reggae-fusion group MAGIC!

The Canadian foursome shares musical DNA with pop-rock bands like the 1975, but takes a lot of inspiration from traditional reggae. Their music is reminiscent of a more accessible, more fun version of 311 or Sublime. Though it has a great deal of reggae influence, it certainly has a predominantly British pop-rock feel - and with heavy hitters such as Bastille and the 1975 garnering so much fame, that's a very good formula to follow.

Lead singer Nasri Atweh is a unique fit for the role he fills in the grou...
