"Glee" star Lea Michele has revealed that she and co-star Matthew Morrison dated prior to playing student and teacher on the FOX series. Morrison is eight years older than Michele.
The actress talks about their relationship in her new book "Brunette Ambition," reversing what she previously said about their past.
Us Weekly published an excerpt from the book in which the actress talks about landing the role of Rachel Berry.
"When we shot the pilot, I met Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley, and Chris Colfer for the first time," she writes. "I had worked on Broadway with Jenna Ushkowitz and Matthew Morrison before. Matt had been a friend of mine for years, and in fact we'd actually dated back in the day for a Broadway beat."
The pair had previously denied that they ever hooked up, with Morrison telling Parade magazine in 2010: "I got a call from my publicist (about the rumor), and she got a call a minute later and we looked at each other like, 'What the f**k?' It's so laughable."
Michele eventually dated her other "Glee" co-star Cory Monteith, who died of a drug overdose in July 2013.
