Hilary Duff has joined the cast of the upcoming sitcom "Younger," which will premiere on TV Land next fall. The series also stars Sutton Foster, Debi Mazar, and Miriam Shor.
Foster will play a 40-year-old single mother who befriends 20-something Kelsey, played by Duff.
Darren Star ("Sex and the City") will write, produce and direct the series, which will be shot in New York.
Duff has made several cameos on television in the past few years but hasn't had a full-time role on the small screen since "Lizzie McGuire" ended in 2004.
The actress made news in January after splitting with her husband Mike Comrie. The former couple sparked reconiciliation rumors after they were spotted shopping and hanging out at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Friday. The pair have a two-year-old son together.
