Alanis Morissette is taking her hit 1995 album "Jagged Little Pill" and transforming it into a Broadway musical. The singer, who has won seven Grammy Awards, plans on debuting a workshop production next year.

The project will include several songs from the album, which featured hits such as "You Oughta Know," "Ironic," "You Learn" and Head Over Feet." The production will also feature other famous tracks as well as new material from the singer.

Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt, who also helped to bring Green Day's "American Idiot" to the stage, will assist with orchestrations and arrangements.

Morissette told WENN, "I look forward to taking the heart of Jagged Little Pill and expanding its story, fleshing it out into ever deeper layers of emotionality, specificity, humanity, power, physicality, spirit and fabulism."

In September, actor Dave Coulier confirmed Morissette's hit single, "You Oughta Know" was written about him. One of the lines is, "I hate to bug you in the middle of dinner," and the actor/comedian explained how the line came about.

He told HuffPostLive:"We had already broken up. She called and I said, 'Hey, you know, I'm right in the middle of dinner. Can I just call you right back?' When I heard the line, it was like, 'Uh-oh.'"

The two Canadians dated in the early 1990s.

Taylor Swift is also famous for writing about her relationships.
