Cate Blanchett made quite a style statement at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Award Ceremony in Sydney on Tuesday. The actress, 43, looked incredible in a floor-length, red sequined Armani Prive gown.

Blanchett most recently starred in "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey." She also appears in the two sequels, to be released in December 2013 and July 2014.

The Aussie actress appears in the upcoming Terrence Malick film "Knight Of Cups" with Christian Bale. The movie is reportedly centered on the film business in Los Angeles.

Blanchett is also working on the Woody Allen film "Blue Jasmin."
