We spotted newly single Britney Spears going to a hotel with her friend in Los Angeles over the weekend. The singer wore a loose, short peach colored sundress and pulled her hair back into a ponytail.

Earlier this month the pop star announced she ended her engagement to fiancee Jason Trawick after two years together. She also ended her relationship with "The X Factor." After one season, Spears quit the judging panel on the popular FOX singing competition.

Spears is currently in the studio working on her eighth album and is reportedly nearing a deal for a year-long residency in Las Vegas. Early estimates suggest she could top the $100 million per year that Celine Dion made during her Sin City residency from 2003-07. Holy smokes!

In other words, we don't feel bad that Britney is currently without a guy OR a job. Because it looks like she'll be just fine.
