Amy Adams struck a pose before making her way into the "Late Show With David Letterman" in New York City on Tuesday.

The actress showed off her curves in a tight burgundy dress with black heeled booties. Her long red hair hung straight down her back, and she wore simple silver hoops in her ears.

Adams stars in the upcoming film "Trouble with the Curve." Clint Eastwood plays an aging baseball scout with failing eyesight who takes a road trip with his estranged daughter (Adams) to pursue a promising young ballplayer. Along the way, the father and daughter realize how much they have in common as they drive from Georgia to North Carolina.

The film hits theaters on Sept. 21, and so does Adams' other new film "The Master" about a Naval veteran who returns home from war unsettled and uncertain of his future.
