Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth made their first red carpet appearance together as an engaged couple at the Australians In Film Awards (AIF) ceremony on Wednesday in Century City, Calif. The couple has been dating for three years.

Cyrus wore her diamond engagement ring and a sexy black Zimmerman gown that emphasized her upper half. She also showed off her sleek, shoulder-length honey blonde hair.

At the event Hemsworth picked up the Film Breakthrough Award for his blossoming career.

AIF President Andrew Warne explained, "We are delighted to honor Liam Hemsworth with the 2012 Breakthrough Award. The string of his upcoming films demonstrates an undeniable star power. From The Expendables 2... and Paranoia... to Arabian Nights... we believe this is only the beginning for (him)."
