If Lady Gaga endorses something it's got to be pretty good. The pop diva, known for her over-the-top fashion and popular songs such as "Poker Face" and "Born This Way" recently released the Heartbeats in-ear headphones from Monster.
The earbuds, part of Dr. Dre's collection, follow up Gaga's original model. They offer clear, crisp sound. Whether you're listening to Gaga's "Paparazzi," Adele's "Someone Like You" or Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger," they successfully tune out background noise without overpowering your ears.
The diva herself designed the black metallic headphones, which are inspired by her leather jacket studs. Fans can customize them by choosing one of eight ear tips to ensure proper fit. They also come equipped with a removable sport clip and a tangle-free cord.
What else do the headphones (which retail for $150) offer? The Heartbeats have ControlTalk, which enables users to control music and hands-free calling from their smart phones. Unfortunately, the feature is only available for certain models of phones. Another caveat—the ControlTalk means there's no volume control on the cord.
Overall, the Heartbeats sound and look great and could make some audiophiles' hearts go pitter-patter.
