Ouch! Liam Hemsworth Gets a Boo-Boo on 'Catching Fire' Set
Lionsgate
Being a central part of Hollywood's newest "it" franchise is not without its share of setbacks.
While Liam Hemsworth might have gotten to skirt most of the action-oriented work in "The Hunger Games," he's now getting his hands — and knees, apparently — dirty with work on the sequel "Catching Fire."
According to USA Today, Hemsworth suffered a slight injury on the Atlanta, Georgia set of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" last week when he took tumble and twisted his knee during some stunt work.
Hemsworth, who, along with brother Chris Hemsworth, is quickly ascending to major Hollywood stud status, is taking it like a champ, though.
"I try to just fight through it," he said of the pain. "There's so many people standing around waiting for you to do your thing. You feel sort of obligated not to let everyone down."
According to him, tributes should expect to see himself and the rest of the cast having a lot more to do in movie two. "There's a bunch of action in this one ... All of the characters have much more action than they did in the first one," he teased.
Hemsworth's been doing back-to-back-to-back projects all year, jumping from one movie set straight onto another, but he said he's grateful to be in that position. "I feel so lucky to be where I am. I'm so thankful," said Hemsworth.
"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" hits theaters on Nov. 22, 2013.
