When "The Sopranos" creator David Chase decided to end the series by abruptly fading to black, many fans and members of the media were decidedly taken aback, to put it mildly. So when Chase announced that he would be re-teaming with "Sopranos" star James Gandolfini for the upcoming film "Not Fade Away," that sly title raised more than a few red flags. He couldn't possibly be planning to do it again, could he?

Well, the first trailer is here and looks like fans are safe this time.

So far, anyway.

Of course, the title is more than just a knowing wink to "Sopranos" fans; more importantly, it's also the title of a classic Buddy Holly song, which makes it the perfect name for this period look at a '60s kid (John Magaro) trying to break away from his restrictive family life by breaking into rock 'n roll.

And unlike "The Sopranos," "Not Fade Away" is reportedly loosely based on Chase's own life, which means you'll get to see Gandolfini do more tough love and less tough guy this time around.
