Abigail Breslin Is 'A Virgin Mary'
Abigail Breslin, the 15-year-old starlet who earned her first Oscar nod at the tender age of 10, is taking it to the next level and becoming a woman… on the big screen that is.
The buzz around Tinseltown is that Breslin has just signed on to headline Beth Schacter's soon-to-shoot indie flick "A Virgin Mary."
The teen comedy centers around… what else… sex. Breslin (of "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Rango" fame) will play a teenage girl (presumably named Mary) who vows to have sex with her male best friend if they're still virgins at the ripe old age of 18.
Sounds reasonable enough, though we can see how things might get more complicated than intended for these two frisky friends.
Carter Jenkins, the dark and handsome heartthrob from "Valentine's Day" will star opposite Breslin, Keke Palmer ("Akeelah and the Bee") will play Breslin's BFF and Daryl Sabara ("Spy Kids") is also in the mix, Variety reports.
Filming is slated for early next year, which means Breslin and Jenkins better get ready to get close, and fast!
