Bailee Madison Bailee Madison should really spend more time outdoors, 'cause there seems to be nothing but trouble whenever she's in the house.

The "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" star will trade mischievous little demons for good old-fashioned cross-generational conflict in the new family comedy, "Us & Them," according to Variety.

"Us & Them" stars Billy Crystal as a baseball broadcaster who's going through a separation from his wife (Bette Midler), though they soon find themselves under the same roof again when they're forced to live with their three grandchildren, one of whom will be played by Madison.

Andy Fickman ("You Again") will be directing this examination of "old school" vs. "new school" parenting, written by Crystal's old "City Slickers" pals, Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel.

We don't get to see much of either Billy Crystal of Bette Midler these days, and seeing the two of them as a bickering old married couple dealing with a bunch of little kids -- and almost certainly coming to terms with their own problems -- should be a lot of fun, as long as there aren't too many "What's an iPad?" kinds of jokes.

Meanwhile, Bailee Madison is enjoying acclaim for her lead performance in "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" (a role she won after her "Brothers" mom, Natalie Portman, recommended her to producer Guillermo del Toro). She's currently shooting her role as Calista in FX's TV movie adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis' graphic novel, "Powers."

Production on "Us & Them" will commence later this month in Atlanta.
