Miley Cyrus partied into the early hours of Sunday morning (10.06.13) after hosting 'Saturday Night Live'.

The 20-year-old pop star celebrated a job well done with the cast and crew of the comedy sketch show on Saturday evening (10.05.13), twerking long into the night at New York City hotspot STK Midtown.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "They sat Miley in a booth by the window, and there was so much paparazzi at the window, they had to move her. But she went around the room and was very gracious to all the other cast members and musicians who were there, thanking them and saying, 'Great job.'‚ÄČ"

The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker appeared to be in high spirits after hosting and performing the long-running US show, as she posted a picture of herself at the party complete with her signature tongue-wagging and her arms in the air in a rock star pose.

Miley has been trailed by controversy since her raunchy performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in August, but the singer was quick to poke fun at herself while hosting 'SNL'.

Referencing her transition from squeaky clean Disney star to sledgehammer-licking sexpot, Miley declared she had "murdered" Hannah Montana, the child-friendly character she shot to fame portraying.

The 'We Can't Stop' singer also remained defiant about her antics of late - which include her steamy MTV performance and a clash with Irish singer Sinead O'Connor via social media - insisting she won't apologies for her behavior.

Miley quipped: "If I owe anybody an apology it's the people who make the bottom half of shirts."
