'Mrs. Doubtfire' Musical In The Works
A "Mrs Doubtfire" musical is in the works.

Composer Alan Menken revealed to Entertainment Weekly Radio that a musical based on the classic 1993 Robin Williams movie is in the early stages of development.

Menken said: "It's in its early stages, and that's probably all I can say, we're really enjoying working on it."

Harvey Fierstein, who starred in the original film as Williams' character's make-up artist brother, will reportedly pen the script for the musical.

In 2014, a sequel to the hit family film was in the works, with the late Robin Williams the only original cast member on board. ...

Radio And TV Pioneer Joe Franklin Dead At 88
Radio and television pioneer Joe Franklin has died. He was 88.

"Joe went unexpectedly and passed away Saturday night," said friend and former produver Steve Garrin. "The last two weeks were the first time he ever missed a broadcast in over 60 years."

Franklin was a mainstay of late-night radio and TV in New York City. Most recently he worked at WJZ, WOR, and the Bloomberg Radio Network.

Miss Canada Chanel Beckenlehner showed some serious love for the game of hocky at the Miss Universe Pageant in Florida.

While the other glamorous contestants donned elaborate dresses and evening gowns, the 26-year-old Canadian native sported a low-cut Canadian hockey jersey and short, plaid skirt.

Simon Pegg Penning Script For 'Star Trek 3'
Simon Pegg is adding to his list of duties for the third installment of the popular "Star Trek' series of films. The actor, who portrayed Scotty in the last two installments, is set to add screenwriter to his resume for the long-awaited film.

According to Deadline, Pegg has been set to co-write "Star Trek 3" alongside Doug Jung ("Dark Blue", "Banshee".)
