Saturday night was the final awards show from one of the guilds that might indicate who will win that Oscar on March 2. Starpulse hit the red carpet at the Writers Guild Awards and talked to presenters, honorees and nominees about the show and what to expect from them next in the entertainment industry.

True Blood's Joe Manganiello gave us the inside scoop on his directorial debut, La Bare, which debuted and found distribution at Slamdance last month. Oscar nominee June Squibb told us what she's most excited about with her honor and Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner gave us an exclusive on Mad Men's final season.

With Her by Spike Jonze taking Original Screenplay and Captain Phillips by Billy Ray winning the Adapted Screenplay category, the Oscars officially have a tight race, not only in the screenwriting categories, but in the Best Picture category.
