DropDead-051410-0004.jpgIn Sunday’s episode of Diva doing what’s right was the theme of the night for the colleagues at Harrison and Parker.  The episode begins with Grayson getting released from the hospital and getting some exciting news from the Doctor.

Grayson Meets with his Neurologist Dr. Kendall, who says he is being released from the hospital and can, get on with life as usual which means going back to work and planning his wedding.   After Dr. Kendall’s approval, Grayson asks Jane as his “ Best Man” if she would help him plan the wedding, with Vanessa out of town he knows she will do a much better job of it than he ever could. Jane reluctantly accepts the responsibility as an effort to stay close to Grayson and be a supportive friend, but Jane might have bit off more than she can chew when Parker enlists her help on a case that Kim is working on figuring it would be a good way to get back into Kim’s good graces and good exposure for firm.  Kim reluctantly agrees.

Kim accepts Jane’s help on her case with the stipulation that she doesn’t have to deal with Parker. They meet with the deceased model’s mother Mrs. Miller, who explains that, her daughter Sarah died due to a fatal reaction to the anesthesia   during surgery.  Parker meanwhile, stays true to his promise to Jane and meets with Terri and Mr. Rice her firefighter boyfriend to defend him in a case where someone got hurt during a rescue.

When Parker, Terri and Mr. Rice get to court it is revealed that Mr. Rice isn’t actually a firefighter due to damage to his vertebrae he was never able to become one. Terry is devastated and drops him as a boyfriend and Parker drops the case. When Rice explains to Terry why he isn’t able to practice as firefighter she forgives him and the case is on once again.

In another courtroom, Kim and Jane are in trial with the doctor on the stand, when it is revealed that in the toxicology report that Sarah died from malignant hypothermia; otherwise known as organ failure. The doctor said this was due to the fact that Sarah was taking anti-depressants unbeknownst to her mother. Devastated by the fact that her daughter didn’t confide in her with guilt overwhelming her Mrs. Miller drops the case.

Back at the office, Parker and Terri come up with a new defense for Rice trying to prove he was being a good samaritan by committing the life-saving act and gather the information to support that fact. After winning the case, Terri celebrates by setting up Jane on a date with Dr. Kendall. Terri’s celebration doesn’t last long when she finds out Rice started the fires. She sends him packing straight to the cops.   Meanwhile, with her mind on Grayson and the case, Jane and Stacy talk about love and Stacy gives Jane some dating advice and Jane does the same.

While going over their files, Kim and Jane with Stacy’s help uncover a seedy model management company that gave Jane’s client false hope so they head back into court seeking justice. They do just that when they expose the agency for fraud and malpractice for not disclosing they were associated with the hospital where Sarah had her operation. The hospital is shut down, and indictments and eleven more lawsuits are brought against the agency and the hospital along with a big settlement for Ms. Miller.

Stacy and Fred speed things along in there relationship and are ready to do the deed when Fred gets cold feet and calls Jane for advice, while Grayson when he and Deb were going to get married. She gives it to Grayson replacing the picture of him and Deb with one of him and Vanessa. It leaves you wondering if Grayson will ever find out the truth and if Jane could ever be truly happy without him.
